Customs Compliance (Entry Level)

  • Execute trade compliance operations activities with supervision, using department procedures and controls to preserve value and mitigate risk.
  • Validate and coordinate import/export transactional requirements that apply to documents and data.
  • Work with GTC Team members, Customs brokers, Customs authorities, and other governmental agencies (sanitary, veterinary, phytosanitary etc.)
  • With supervision, review or prepare documents (invoices, preferential trade documentation and other cross-border documents) to ensure they meet legal and fiscal requirements.
  • With supervision, execute cross-border clearance, and file import/export declarations with customs and other government agencies using defined procedures.
  • Manage client interaction and business partnerships to support GTC and implement agreed solutions.
  • Execute trade activities, maintaining partnerships, to meet global trade compliance goals.
  • Handle basic issues and problems under direct supervision, while escalating more complex issues to appropriate staff
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Minimum Qualifications
  • High school diploma, secondary education level or equivalent
  • Basic experience in customs, logistics, trade compliance or equivalent areas, related to operations and documents management.
  • Demonstrated client/customer focus role and strong relationship builder.
  • Other minimum qualifications may apply.
